COVID-19 Policy

Based on the latest information from public health and government authorities, College Multihexa has adopted the following policy that relates to students attending classes in-person or being on the campus premises, during the COVID-19 pandemic.

All students and teachers must comply with these government policies to prevent the spread of COVID-19 within and outside College Multihexa.
Student obligations in case of symptoms or COVID-19 infection
If you experience symptoms of illness that are indicative of COVID-19, or if you know that you have been exposed to someone with COVID-19, you must do the following:

  • Stay home
  • Comply with any physical distancing or self-isolation requirements imposed by local public health authorities.
  • Take sufficient time to rest and recover.
    This applies even if your symptoms are mild. To this end, you must immediately contact the student coordinator assigned to you by the College to inform them if you have taken a screening test, and when you receive the test result.
    Symptoms of the disease
    Symptoms of COVID-19 include the following:
    • Fever (>37.8°C)
    • New or worsening cough
    • Shortness of breath
    • Sudden loss of smell without nasal congestion, with or without loss of taste
    • Sore throat
    • Digestive problems: diarrhea, vomiting
    • Headaches
    • Difficulty in breathing
    • Muscle aches

    If there is one thing on which all agree is the great quality of life in Saguenay. An urban city close to nature, it offers the same advantages as large cities while offering a safe environment. It is dynamic, has a rich cultural life in a healthy environment. Here, no traffic jams!

    Known among the province and around the world, the cultural life in Saguenay is not a myth. All year long, festivals, some presented on the international scene, animate the region.

    Also, theater companies (seven in all), a symphonic orchestra, a network of public libraries- all the reasons why Saguenay was elected as the Cultural Capital of Canada in 2010.

    There are also Research Centers. The student population is estimated at 15,000.

    All the surrounding regions of Saguenay offer sport facilities, pools, soccer stadiums, parks, and green spaces. There is even a real forest in the city! We will be surprised of all the sports and activities offered in all four seasons, each season offering its own advantage. From a simple walk to cross-country skiing, to ski centers and bike paths, you will definitely find your favorite activity!

    A real network of infrastructure and transport

    Air, ground, water: Saguenay is unique in its multi modes of transport. It has its own airport, four lane highway connecting it to Quebec, and a railroad linked to a port in deep water.

    A strategic location

    Saguenay is located 55 minutes away from Montreal by plane, two hours from Quebec by car. It is also the entrance door to Quebec Great North.

    Innovative immersion activities

    With a rich student life all year round, you will be immersed in a 100 percent North American way of life in a francophone city, within a multicultural environment.

    Affordable lodging

    Expect to pay around $375 per month for a shared accommodation. For the internet cost, expect $40$ to $70 per month (internet access is often included in the rent). You can subscribe to a mobile service for $40 to $60 per month.

    Efficient commuting transport

    The Transport Society of Saguenay manages the transport network in the city. It covers Chicoutimi, Jonquiere, and The Bay, and a large part of the City of Saguenay. Expect around $55 for a transport card.

    Cost of living below the one from other cities of Quebec
