Upon completion of the program, you will have demonstrated the ability to:
- Use a software development process to guide the planning and implementation of projects
- Collaborate with clients on an individual basis
- Collaborate with clients as part of a development team
- Manage client expectations and communicate developer responsibilities
- Develop a design vision based on client goals and user expectations
- Develop comprehensive information architecture, wireframes and sitemaps
- Efficiently manage project scope, budget, and timelines
- Train clients on self-administration and the use of their website
Upon successful completion of this course, you will have demonstrated skills in any of the following capacities:
- Self-employed web developer
- Web developer in a studio environment
- Freelance contractor
- Marketing co-ordinator
- Specialist in any sub-divisions within the field of web development
- A valid photo ID or birth certificate
- A high school diploma or be at least 19 years of age
- Students under the age of 19 require their parent’s or guardian’s signature
- Completed an intake with a Q College team member
- Successful completion of the Web Tech and Digital Marketing certificate program, the Accelerated Web Development Digital Marketing program, the Drupal Open Source Development and E-Commerce program, the Advance WordPress Digital Marketing program, or the Accelerated Advanced WordPress Digital Marketing program, or completed a basic skills assessment with a Q College staff member, or proficient in design and can provide a portfolio
